CAIRO, October 24. /TASS/. A convoy of 20 trucks carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza Strip residents has entered the enclave through the Rafah Border Crossing point on the border with Egypt, the Sada al-Balad TV channel reports.

According to the media outlet, the aid shipment mainly consists of medicines for the emergency treatment of people wounded by Israeli air strikes. In addition, a member of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society said that food, drinking water, tents and personal care products had also been sent to Gaza.

This is the fourth convoy delivering humanitarian aid to the population of the Palestinian enclave to enter through the Rafah Border Crossing. Nine trucks with aid were provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent, while others came from various charitable and public organizations.

Raed Abdel Nasser, head of the Egyptian Red Crescent in the North Sinai Governorate, said earlier that a total of 55 aid trucks for Gaza residents, not counting today’s convoy, had entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing. According to him, the aid is being delivered in coordination with the Palestine Red Crescent Society.
