Kazem Jalali emphasized that Iran had never been in favor of starting a war

MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Israel lacks the capability to unleash a regional war across the Middle East, while Iran has never advocated for such a conflict, Iranian Ambassador to Russia Kazem Jalali told journalist Vladimir Soloviev in an interview, which was aired on the Soloviev Live TV channel.

"Israel, so to speak, is incapable of fighting against a small territory like Gaza and a small group like Hamas. So, does it really want to start a regional war? I don't think the Israeli regime has that kind of capability and that kind of power," Jalali said. "We, the Islamic Republic of Iran, have never been in favor of starting a war."

Jalali posed the rhetorical question as to why Israel had not previously settled its relations with Palestine.

"What the international community should give some thought to is what [Russian President Vladimir] Putin said. And that is justice," the diplomat said. "Things will continue like this as long as justice has not been established."
