DUBAI, October 24. /TASS/. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Monday that he has asked his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, to take efforts not to let the United Nations Security Council pass a resolution running counter to Palestine’s interests.
"All efforts should be focused on preventing the adoption of a resolution contradicting Palestine’s interests. Today, I spoke about this with Mr. Lavrov, Foreign Minister of Russia, which is a permanent member of the UN Security Council and enjoys the right to veto. Earlier, we held similar consultations with China," he said after the 3+3 ministerial meeting on the South Caucasus in Tehran.
