TEL AVIV, October 23. /TASS/. The Israeli military has arrested some 500 Hamas activists in the West Bank since the Palestinian radical group launched a surprise incursion into Israeli territory on October 7, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
"Since the beginning of the hostilities [on October 7], more than 800 people on the wanted list have been detained during counterterrorism raids in the West Bank, of which some 500 have links with the Hamas terror organization," the IDF said in a statement.
"During a large-scale operation to counter terrorism and confiscate weapons in Judaea and Samaria (the Israeli name for the West Bank - TASS) last night, 64 wanted people were arrested, including 37 supporters of the Hamas terror organization," the IDF added.
