Ukraine claims development of Russia’s Lantset drone analog

MOSCOW, August 23. /TASS/. Ukraine developed its own analog of Russia’s Lantset drone, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fyodorov claimed.
"There are producers who have already made a product and we work on its scaling. We have a clear understanding of when we will have our own Lantset-like drone, and how many," he said in an interview for 1+1’s Sergey Peychev.
Fyodorov called the Lantset an effective and mighty weapon, underscoring that Kiev analyzes the practice of its use based on data from open sources.
Previously, head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andrey Yermak said that Russian Lantset and Orlan drones create problems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
The Lantset drone is being produced by ZALA Aero (a Rostec subsidiary). It is equipped with several aiming systems: a coordinates-based one, an optical-electronic one and a combined one. The drone is equipped with a television communication channel, making it possible to confirm the hit. The system can hit targets in a 40-km radius. Its maximum takeoff mass is 12 kg.
