BERLIN, June 22. /TASS/. The conflict in Ukraine is not supposed to escalate into a confrontation between the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said in a speech in the Bundestag on Thursday.

"We have to make sure that the war does not lead to an escalation between Russia and NATO. It has not happened, and it will not happen," he said.
