BERLIN, April 13. /TASS/. The German government will allow Poland to transfer Soviet-made fighter jets received by Warsaw from the former East Germany’s stockpile to Ukraine, the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper reported on Thursday.

The newspaper pointed out that, according to German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, who is now in Mali, the decision "will be made as early as today." "The request has been received. And a promise has been made that an answer to our Polish partners will follow within a day," he told reporters. However, he did not confirm that Berlin's response would be positive.
