WASHINGTON, April 10. /TASS/. The leak of the Pentagon’s classified data regarding Washington’s and NATO’s plans on preparing Ukrainian forces for a counteroffensive did not affect the US support to Ukraine, National Security Council Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said Monday.

"Has there been any effect on support to Ukraine? The answer is no. We will continue to support Ukraine for as long as it takes," he said.

Previously, US media reported that the Pentagon and the Department of Justice initiated an investigation into the leak of classified documents on plans of Washington and NATO on preparation of Ukrainian forces for a counteroffensive. Many materials, disclosing information on arms shipment schedules and size of forces, were published on Twitter and Telegram, in particular. On April 7, the New York Times reported a new batch of classified American documents on Ukrainian leaked on the Internet. According to the report, the leaked documents also include materials on the Middle East and China.

Reuters underscores that this leak may be one of the largest since the 2013 leak of over 700,000 documents, videos of diplomatic telegrams to the WikiLeaks website. Meanwhile, the agency notes that the leaked documents may be fake.
