Russia records 8,915 daily COVID cases, 38 deaths — crisis center
As many as 1,167 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up 1% from a day earlier
MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Russia’s COVID-19 case tally rose by 8,915 over the past day to 22,698,025, the anti-coronavirus crisis center reported on Friday.
A day earlier, 9,371 daily cases were recorded.
As many as 1,167 people were hospitalized with COVID-19 in Russia over the past day, up 1% from a day earlier. The number of hospitalized patients increased in 34 regions, while in 40 regions the figure decreased. The situation remained unchanged in 11 regions. A day earlier, 1,155 people were rushed to hospitals.
Moscow’s COVID-19 cases surged by 1,140 over the past day versus 1,589 cases a day earlier, reaching 3,486,395, according to the anti-coronavirus crisis center. St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 cases increased by 874 over the past day versus 862 a day earlier, reaching 1,924,381.
COVID-19 recoveries
Russia’s COVID-19 recoveries rose by 10,685 over the past day, reaching 22,070,993, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.
A day earlier some 10,879 patients recovered.
COVID-19 death toll
Russia’s COVID-19 death toll rose by 38 over the past day, reaching 397,497, the anti-coronavirus crisis center told reporters on Friday.
A day earlier 39 COVID-19 deaths were registered.
