NEW YORK, March 31. /TASS/. The Manhattan district attorney’s office has contacted with lawyers of former US president Donald Trump over his arraignment, according to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg.

"This evening we contacted Mr. Trump’s attorney to coordinate his surrender to the Manhattan D.A.’s office for arraignment on a Supreme Court indictment, which remains under seal," reads a spokesperson’s statement, released by Bragg on Twitter.

Guidance to Trump’s lawyers will be provided when the arraignment date is selected, the statement says.

According to the Wall Street Journal, New York attorneys normally refrain from publishing the indictment before the suspect is brought to the court. New York Times said Trump would be the first US leader, former or acting, to face criminal charges.
