World needs Kiev-Moscow talks as soon as possible, says Argentinian president
According to Alberto Fernandez, the international community "must do whatever is necessary to end" this conflict
BUENOS AIRES, March 30. /TASS/. Argentina's President Alberto Fernandez said on Wednesday during talks with his US counterpart Joe Biden that dialogue between Russia and Ukraine should be established as soon as possible to end the armed conflict.
"In today's world, it is unacceptable to think that territorial conflicts can be resolved by armed means. However, we also want this conflict to end as soon as possible. That is why I told him (Biden - TASS) that I think it is necessary for the parties to sit down at the negotiating table and find a solution through dialogue," the Argentinian head of state stressed at a press conference broadcast on his government's YouTube channel.
According to Fernandez, the international community "must do whatever is necessary to end" this conflict. "The longer it lasts, the more damage is done to the international economy, especially to the economies of the Southern Hemisphere," he added.
During the meeting, which took place in Washington, D.C., the sides also discussed a proposal for cooperation in food production in the context of global concerns about food security due to the limited operation of the port of Odessa.
