Authorities say heating in Kiev fully restored
On Saturday, eight percent of consumers in Kiev were left without heating
MOSCOW, March 12. /TASS/. Electricity, heating and water supply have been fully restored in the Ukrainian capital, the head of the city's military administration, Sergey Popko, reported on Sunday.
"Heat supply has been fully restored in Kiev. Electricity and water supply are being supplied to all districts. The city’s infrastructure is working in normal mode," the administration quoted the official as saying on its Telegram channel.
On Saturday, eight percent of consumers in Kiev were left without heating.
On Thursday night, an air-raid alert was declared throughout Ukraine. It lasted about five hours. There were reports of explosions from various cities and regions. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal reported damage to power generation and distribution facilities in eight regions, and the DTEK energy holding company reported serious damage to three thermal power plants. According to Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko, energy infrastructure was damaged and some city residents were left without heating. Local media said that it could be Ukraine's largest combined heat and power plant, the Kharkov thermal power plant, which supplies heat to about a third of the Ukrainian capital's residents and a number of businesses.
