There are ongoing investigations, whether it's an investigation into an undersea blast like this or an investigation into any other criminal or terrorist activity, Spokesman of the Department of State Ned Price said

WASHINGTON, March 9. /TASS/. The US administration continues insisting that suspicions of its involvement in sabotage acts at Nord Stream pipelines are ridiculous but does not dismiss any versions in terms of finding those involved, Spokesman of the Department of State Ned Price said at the briefing.

"As to all of those reports, I'm not in a position to confirm them. I want to be very clear about that," Price said, responding to a request for the comment on recent mass media publications about gas pipeline explosions. "We will let those investigations play out before we offer any comments," he noted, referring to investigations underway in Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

"They will be the ones to report on the findings that they come up with in the course of these investigations, but we're just not going to get ahead of what they may uncover," the Spokesman said.

"I'm not dismissing anything. I'm not ruling anything out. I'm just saying we're not confirming, we're not commenting on the specifics in any of the reports that have emanated over recent days and we're not doing that for a very simple reason. There are ongoing investigations, whether it's an investigation into an undersea blast like this or an investigation into any other criminal or terrorist activity. Our typical posture is to let the investigation play out," he added, commenting on the report by the New York Times regarding a pro-Ukrainian group that might perform sabotage acts on pipelines.

Reports that the US government is in any way involved in subsea blasts at Nord Stream pipelines are ridiculous, Price added, urging once again to wait until outcomes of investigations.
