ANKARA, February 20. /TASS/. Turkey is committed to the Montreux Convention and to date, not a single warship has passed through the Bosphorus Strait, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Monday.
"We are against <…> [the conflict in Ukraine]. We don’t support the referendums [in the Donbass republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions on accession to Russia]. We take the provisions of the Montreux Convention seriously. As of today, not a single warship has passed through the Bosphorus," he said after talks with visiting US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
