KIEV, February 18. /TASS/. Two explosions were heard in the city of Khmelnitsky in western Ukraine on Saturday morning, the regional administration’s head Sergey Gamaly said.

"An explosion has rocked Khmelnitsky. Please remain in shelters," he wrote on Telegram. The official reported another blast a minute later.

Meanwhile, emergency blackouts have been introduced in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev, as well as in the Kiev, Odessa and Dnepropetrovsk regions, the DTEK energy company reported.

Air raid sirens earlier went off in most of the country’s regions.
