Shoigu offers condolences to his Turkish counterpart over earthquake casualties

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu held telephone talks with his Turkish counterpart Hulusi Akar, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters on Monday.

"On February 6 this year, Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergey Shoigu held telephone talks with Defense Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Hulusi Akar. Sergey Shoigu expressed his sincere condolences to Hulusi Akar over numerous human casualties and destruction caused by the earthquake in the Republic of Turkey," the ministry said.

The ministry specified that the conversation was held at the initiative of the Russian side.
