US, "one more country" involved in drone attack on military plant in Iran’s Isfahan — TV
The attack targeted a ballistic missile depot, Al-Arabiya television reports
CAIRO, January 29. /TASS/. The US Air Force and "one more country" attacked the Iranian defense ministry's military plant in the city of Isfahan using drones, Al-Arabiya television reported citing sources on Sunday.
The attack targeted a ballistic missile depot, the report said. According to Al Hadath TV channel, Israel is unrelated to the operation.
The attack on an ammunition depot was meant "to demonstrate to Iran and Russia" the US’ readiness to combat the construction of plants "on production and export of [ballistic] weapons," Al Hadath said citing US sources.
The IRNA news agency reported overnight into Sunday that a powerful blast sounded in the city of Isfahan in central Iran. Later the republic’s defense ministry said that one of its centers was unsuccessfully attacked with the use of drones on Saturday, at around 11:30 p.m. (10:00 p.m. Moscow time). Meanwhile the statement did not specify who Tehran considered responsible for the attack.
