US official declines to say if US will give Kiev depleted uranium ammunition for Bradleys

WASHINGTON, January 25. /TASS/. A US official on Wednesday declined to say whether the US will provide Ukraine with depleted-uranium ammunition for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and depleted-uranium armor for M1 Abrams tanks.
"I'm not going to get into the technical specifics on either platform," the senior official said at a special news conference.
The reporter that asked the question said depleted uranium ammunition is part of what makes it a tank killer that the Pentagon officials called them.
According to the Pentagon, since the beginning of Russia's special military operation in Ukraine, the United States has allocated more than $24.2 billion for military assistance to Kiev. The $3 billion assistance package that was announced on January 6 included Bradley IFVs and self-propelled howitzers. On Wednesday, US officials said that the country will transfer 31 M1 Abrams tanks to Kiev.
