Another letter-bomb found at Spanish air base

On Wednesday, Instalaza, a Spanish business that designs and manufactures ammunition and weapons systems, received a letter like the one that exploded in the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid earlier that day

MADRID, December 1. /TASS/. The Spanish Interior Ministry confirmed to TASS on Thursday that a package containing an explosive device had been found at an air base in Torrejon de Ardoz.

"Early on Thursday, security forces at Torrejon Air Base found a suspicious envelope that may contain an explosive," the Spanish top brass said. The National Police and Civil Guard officers have already been dispatched to the air base, and investigators are analyzing the envelope, the Defense Ministry added.

On Wednesday, Instalaza, a Spanish business that designs and manufactures ammunition and weapons systems, received a letter like the one that exploded in the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid earlier that day.

An explosion rocked the Ukrainian embassy in Madrid at about 1:00 pm local time (3:00 pm Moscow time) on Wednesday. A package mailed to the ambassador with a homemade bomb inside it was opened by an embassy employee. The explosion caused a minor wound to his right hand and he sought medical assistance at a Madrid clinic himself.
