Yerevan ready to hold talks with Azerbaijan, France and EU leaders — Foreign Ministry

Ararat Mirzoyan also said that Armenia had received Azerbaijan's response to the proposals regarding a draft peace agreement

YEREVAN, November 28./TASS/. Armenia is ready to organize a meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, European Council President Charles Michel and French President Emmanuel Macron within a reasonable timeframe, the country’s top diplomat said in an interview with Armenpress news agency on Monday.

"An agreement on the next meeting was reached during the four-party meetings in Prague. We continue to adhere to that agreement and once again express our readiness to organize a meeting between the prime minister of Armenia, the president of Azerbaijan, the French president and the president of the European Council within a reasonable time," Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.

"We believe that the negotiations held in Prague in this format were quite productive and important within the context of the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The Armenian side remains interested in the settlement of relations," he stressed.

Mirzoyan also said that Armenia had received Azerbaijan's response to the proposals regarding a draft peace agreement.

"As you know, we submitted our proposals for the settlement of relations or a draft peace treaty to Azerbaijan and yesterday we received their answer. So discussions continue. We hope to reach an agreement on this issue as soon as possible. The mediatory efforts of our international partners can also play an important role in this process," the top diplomat said.
