Turkish government to discuss land operation in northern Syria — TV
According to the TV channel, the agenda of the meeting will focus on the issues of counteracting terrorism
ANKARA, November 28. /TASS/. Turkey’s cabinet of ministers will discuss a planned ground operation in northern Syria targeting militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), which is outlawed in Turkey at a session on Monday chaired by the country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the TRT TV channel reports citing sources in the government.
According to the TV channel, the agenda of the meeting will focus on the issues of counteracting terrorism. In particular, the government will assess Turkey's "Claw-Sword" air operation in northern Iraq and Syria conducted since November 20.
The international agenda will include the implementation of the grain deal with regards to grain deliveries to needy countries and energy projects.
Following the meeting, Erdogan will traditionally address the nation and tell about the decisions made at the session.
