Poland’s justice minister says Tuesday’s incident was ‘missile blast’
A group of prosecutors, other services and investigators have been working on the site for a few hours, Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro said
WARSAW, November 16. /TASS/. Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro discussed Tuesday’s incident in eastern Poland as a ‘missile blast’ in a Twitter post.
"I tasked the state prosecutor with assuming personal control over the investigation into the missile blast and the deaths of two Polish citizens," Ziobro said.
In his words, "a group of prosecutors, other <…> services and investigators have been working on the site for a few hours."
Poland’s Radio Zet reported on Tuesday with reference to unofficial sources that two missiles hit grain dryers in the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland’s Lublin Voivodeship, close to the border with Ukraine. According to the report, two people were killed in the incident. The report makes no mention about the origin of those missiles.
The Russian Defense Ministry dismissed as a "deliberate provocation" Polish media reports about the alleged fall of Russian missiles in Poland on Tuesday, adding that the Russian military has performed no strikes targeting the Ukrainian-Polish border zone. "The wreckage published by Polish mass media from the scene in Przewod·w have no relation to Russian firepower," the ministry said in a statement.
