Draft UN General Assembly resolution suggests setting up reparation mechanism for Ukraine

UNITED NATIONS, November 9. /TASS/. A draft resolution of a special UN General Assembly session on Ukraine, which is to resume on November 14, suggests setting up "an international mechanism for reparation for damage" to Ukraine with the participation of the Kiev government.
According to the text of the document, obtained by TASS, the General Assembly "recognizes the need for the establishment, in cooperation with Ukraine, of an international mechanism for reparation for damage, loss or injury
, and arising from the internationally wrongful acts of the Russian Federation in or against Ukraine."
The assembly also "recommends the creation by Member States, in cooperation with Ukraine, of an international Register of Damage to serve as a record, in documentary form, of evidence and claims information on damage, loss or injury to all natural and legal persons concerned, as well as the state of Ukraine."
The resolution once again calls upon Russia to end its special military operation in Ukraine and withdraw its troops.
The draft resolution was compiled by Western nations with the participation of Ukraine, and may be amended before being submitted to the vote next week.
Spokesperson for the President of the 76th Session of the General Assembly Paulina Kubiak said on Tuesday that the UN General Assembly’s special session on Ukraine will resume its work on November 14.
