Indonesia completes preparations for G20 summit in Bali, president says

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Indonesia has completed preparations for the G20 summit set to take place on the island of Bali and is ready to receive foreign delegations, the country’s President Joko Widodo said on Tuesday.

"I have inspected the smallest aspects (of the venues) since this morning. We have checked everything, and I want to convey that we are ready to receive the G20 guests," he said, as cited by the Antara news agency.

On Tuesday, Widodo inspected the infrastructure facilities that will be used for the international meeting on November 15-16. When speaking about the number of foreign leaders who had confirmed their participation in the summit, Widido reiterated that 17 people had given a response so far.

Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that he would announce later in the week if Russian President Vladimir Putin would go to Bali to attend the G20 summit. The Indonesian Foreign Ministry has so far confirmed the attendance of 17 heads of state and government.
