The Ministry called the "idea that Romania has territorial claims to Ukraine" false and reiterated the "firm support to independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine" within the context of the special military operation

BUCHAREST, November 5. /TASS/. Romania has no territorial claims to Ukraine, the Romanian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

The Ministry called the "idea that Romania has territorial claims to Ukraine" false and reiterated the "firm support to independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine" within the context of the special military operation.

Earlier on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during the meeting with historians and representatives of traditional religions that Warsaw still discusses the idea of return of Ukrainian territories that were alienated from Poland during World War II. In this context, Putin noted that "large, major regions of Romania" were included in Ukraine during those years as well.
