UNITED NATIONS, November 3. /TASS/. An end to the conflict in Ukraine is still quite far away, although every effort should be made to move in this direction, United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres told reporters on Thursday.

"About ending the war - we need, I believe, still a certain way to go. Peace is, of course, an objective for us all, peace in line with international law and the UN Charter. But I think that we are still relatively far away from it and we need to do everything to accelerate moving in that way," he said, when asked about the possibility of peace talks at the upcoming G20 summit in Indonesia, which will involve Russia and Ukraine, as well as the US and other Western countries.
