AMMAN, November 3. /TASS/. Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Hussein Abdullah al-Safadi said on Thursday it was essential to respect the interests of all parties in the situation involving Ukraine.
Speaking at a news conference following talks with Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, he noted that the crisis in Ukraine had been touched upon in their conversation.
"We emphasized the need for an immediate ceasefire, peace solutions to the crisis, and a political settlement that would guarantee the observance of international law, the UN Charter and provisions of the UN Security Council and ensure the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states, including Ukraine, which would guarantee the interests of all countries, including Russia," al-Safadi said.
"This is our high-principled position. It was enshrined in the framework of the ministerial meeting of the League of Arab States, devoted to the Ukrainian crisis," he pointed out.
The Jordanian Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of the grain deal.
"It is also necessary, within the framework of these decisions, to ensure the resumption of grain export and further action in accordance with the grain deal, which would provide more stability and food security," he said.
