Polish Senate adopts resolution labeling Russia as ‘terrorist regime’
85 senators cast their votes and all of them were in favor of the resolution, which condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine
WARSAW, October 26. /TASS/. Poland's Senate adopted a resolution on Wednesday that labeled Russia as a "terrorist regime."
According to data from the Senate’s web site, 85 senators cast their votes and all of them were in favor of the resolution, which condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
The Senate also called on the international community to provide full support to the International Criminal Court, which is investigating the cases of those guilty of crimes in Ukraine, and expressed gratitude to the Polish people and government for helping Ukrainian refugees.
The Senate’s resolution is a symbolic, non-binding way for the parliament to express its opinion on current affairs in and out of the country. It’s not a regulatory act. As a rule, these resolutions aim either to support some actions by the government, or to spotlight a problem.
