Belarus has weapons to protect its border with Ukraine from drones, Lukashenko says
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko ordered the military-industrial complex to increase tank upgrade volumes and noted that he was rather impressed by quadcopters and anti-drone systems
MINSK, October 21. /TASS/. Belarus has weapons necessary to protect its border with Ukraine from drones and other airborne targets, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said Friday.
"We are of course, the world’s leaders here [in defense of territory - TASS], and it is just as important as having these drones that can strike certain targets. A dozen of such green vehicles [electronic warfare systems - TASS] can completely close our southern border with Ukraine for drones and other airborne targets," he said, according to BelTA.
On Friday, Lukashenko arrived at the Obuz-Lesnaya military ground to examine the national military-industrial complex products.
"I believe our protection is higher today than our strike capabilities," he said.
According to the President, all drones produced in Belarus "perform well."
"We will keep working. There is space for improvement. But the demand for them is high already. I’m not talking about Ukraine - it was even before Ukraine," he explained.
Earlier on Friday, Lukashenko ordered the military-industrial complex to increase tank upgrade volumes and noted that he was rather impressed by quadcopters and anti-drone systems.
