MOSCOW, October 21. /TASS/. The death toll in the Ukrainian army’s shelling of a river crossing in Kherson has risen to four, Kirill Stremousov, deputy governor of the Kherson Region, said in a live broadcast on the Soloviev Live TV Channel on Friday.
"I know about four casualties. As far as I know, there are no casualties among children at the moment," he said.
In its bombardments, the Ukrainian military used fragmentation shells and the shelling attacks were aimed at stopping the river crossing by civilians, Stremousov said.
The Kherson regional emergency services reported earlier on Friday that the Ukrainian military had delivered 12 rocket strikes on the civilian river crossing in Kherson, with 11 rockets shot down by Russian air defenses and one rocket falling in the area of the Antonovka Bridge. Previous reports said that three civilians were killed and nine others were wounded as a result of the Ukrainian army’s bombardments.
