Chief of Armenia’s General Staff briefs EU technical mission on border situation

Technical and organizational issues of the mission’s operation were touched upon
YEREVAN, October 15. /TASS/. Major General Edvard Asryan, Chief of Armenia’s General Staff and First Deputy Defense Minister, informed the European Union technical assessment mission about the situation on the border with Azerbaijan, the Armenian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Saturday.
"Asryan welcomed the mission’s visit to Armenia and pledged willingness of the Armed Forces to cooperate with the mission and support it. [He] described the situation caused by Azerbaijan’s large-scale aggression on September 13," the statement says.
At the meeting, the chief of the General Staff was notified of the mission’s main goals and objectives. Technical and organizational issues of the mission’s operation were touched upon.
