Terrorists are trained in Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine for attacks in Belarus — Lukashenko
The chief of the State Security Committee, Ivan Tertel, said on October 6 that the opposition abroad was plotting attacks in Belarus with the aim of destabilizing the country
MINSK, October 10. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has described the training of militants, including Belarusian radicals, in Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine for terrorist attacks in Belarus as a threat.
"Against this background, the training in Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine of militants, including Belarusian radicals, to carry out sabotage and terrorist attacks and organize a military rebellion in Belarus is becoming a direct threat," Lukashenko said at a meeting on military security on Monday. A short video of his statement was uploaded to the Pul_1 Telegram channel close to the presidential press service.
The chief of the State Security Committee, Ivan Tertel, said on October 6 that the opposition abroad was plotting attacks in Belarus with the aim of destabilizing the country. In particular, Tertel said that some opponents of the Belarusian authorities were planning "an intrusion by a group of 100 to 300 men from Ukraine, seizing a community, or preferably a district center, and then moving towards Minsk."
