WASHINGTON, October 7. /TASS/. The US doesn’t plan to deploy nuclear weapons in NATO members that joined the alliance after 1997, Vedant Patel, a deputy spokesperson for the US State Department, said on Thursday.

"I can say that the United States has no plans to deploy nuclear weapon on NATO member territory that had joined NATO post 1997," he said at a news conference.
