Further contacts between Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia necessary – Aliyev

The ministers are to meet for the second time soon

BAKU, October 7. /TASS/. Contacts between Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia for preparation of a peace treaty between the two states must not interrupt, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said in an interview for Azerbaijani media after the meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with participation of French President Emmanuel Macron and European Council President Charles Michel in Prague Thursday.

"As you know, the first meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia has already taken place [on October 2 in Geneva - TASS], and, in our opinion, this must not stop. The Ministers are expected to meet for the second time shortly, and we proposed that working groups of the two states gather and work on the peace treaty text for several days. That is, this is our intention," Aliyev said.
