US not to set timeframes for return to Iran nuclear deal — White House

"We will not stay open indefinitely, and we're not circling a date on the calendar," US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan stressed

WASHINGTON, July 15. /TASS/. The United States is not going to set any timeframes for consultations on the return to the full compliance with the Joint Comprehensive Plans of Action (JCPOA) on the Iranian nuclear program, but will not be baiting indefinitely, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said on Friday.

"We're not circling to date on the calendar," he said, commenting on possible setting any timeframes for the deal. "The deals on the table to the Iranians choose to take it. We're ready for a compliance or compliance return. But we're also not waiting to continue to impose economic pressure on Iran, further economic pressure on Iran."

"We'll continue to do that even as we work at the negotiating table to try to produce a return to the JCPOA. But as I said, we will not stay open indefinitely, and we're not circling a date on the calendar," he added.
