Foreign mercenaries flee Severodonetsk abandoning their arms, LPR reports

As the LPR assistant interior minister Vitaly Kiselyov pointed out, these are mercenaries from France, Poland, Germany and America

LUGANSK, June 26. /TASS/. Mercenaries from France, Poland, Germany and America fled Severodonetsk, abandoning their arms, LPR (Lugansk People’s Republic) Assistant Interior Minister Vitaly Kiselyov told TASS on Sunday.

"The mercenaries fled from there. They ran away so fast that they abandoned all their basic weapons and carried only what they could take with them. They fled at night, in groups of two to three men. This is the information of one of the prisoners-of-war who showed them the road," he said.

As the LPR assistant interior minister pointed out, "these are mercenaries from France, Poland, Germany and America - all these facts are confirmed." "All of them fled into Lisichansk," he added.

The Russian Defense Ministry earlier reported that the entire territory on the left bank of the Seversky Donets River within the boundaries of the Lugansk People’s Republic had been placed under the control of the LPR militia forces. An operation was also launched to mop up the premises of the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk where militants of the Neo-Nazi Aidar formation had held civilians hostage and evacuate people from there.

According to a TASS source close to the LPR people’s militia, some Ukrainian soldiers could have left encircled Severodonetsk on Friday and Saturday by swimming across the Seversky Donets River.
