Women held hostage at Azot plant in LPR raped by militants – People’s Militia
Now these women are safe and receive the necessary medical and psychological assistance
LUGANSK, June 26. /TASS/. Militants from the Ukrainian Aidar nationalist battalion were raping women held hostage at the Azot chemical enterprise in Severodonetsk, the Lugansk People’s Republic’s (LPR) People’s Militia told TASS on Saturday.
"Dozens of women who were held hostage at the Azot enterprise were being regularly raped by the Ukrainian militants. Now, they are already safe and with all those liberated from Azot today are receiving medical and psychological aid from LPR specialists. Judging by their emotional and psychological state, some women will undergo a lengthy psychological rehabilitation," the source said.
On Saturday, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Igor Konashenkov stated that the entire territory of the Azot enterprise in Severodonetsk had come under control of LPR units. According to LPR People’s Militia officer Andrey Marochko, the republic’s forces together with Russian troops continue to clear the premises of Azot.
