RIO DE JANEIRO, June 23. /TASS/. The group of leading emerging economies should join efforts to reform international organizations, President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil said on Thursday.
"We must join efforts to reform international organizations like the World Bank, the IMF and UN bodies, including the Security Council," Bolsonoro said, addressing an online BRICS summit. "The growing weight of the emerging economies in the world requires a proper representation."
The leaders of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are holding their 14th summit, which is being presided over by China, to discuss cooperation in the political, economic and cultural areas, as well as acute international and regional issues.
