MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. All members of the Russian delegation that planned to travel to a meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Birmingham are under sanctions that ban them from visiting the UK, the British embassy in Moscow said on Telegram on Wednesday.

"This is to answer questions from the news media regarding the participation of the Russian delegation in the session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Birmingham on July 2-6: All members of the Russian delegation are under British sanctions for their role in destabilizing Ukraine, undermining the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine," the embassy said. "These sanctions prohibit them, among other things, from traveling to the UK."

Earlier on Wednesday First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Vladimir Dzhabarov said that the British government had refused to issue visas to the Russian delegation to participate in the annual session of the OSCE PA, which will be held from July 2 to 6 in Birmingham.
