US President Joe Biden said that he believed it was very likely that Ukraine will become a member of the European Union during a conversation with journalists in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware on Monday, according to an audio recording published by the White House’s press pool.

The head of state was asked where he was confident that Ukraine would join the European Union. "I think, it’s likely, very likely to happen," he responded.

He also stated that he is not likely to visit Ukraine within the framework of his visit at the end of the month to Germany to participate in a G7 summit and to Spain for a NATO summit in Madrid.
