LUGANSK, June 20. /TASS/. Militants of the Aidar nationalist battalion, surrendered to LPR People’s Militia, started testifying against their fellow militants blocking the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk, a source close to the People’s Militia told TASS.
"Right now, information, obtained from Aidar members, surrendered in Metyolkino, is being used for negotiations with the militants," the source said.
Negotiations with Ukrainian armed forces and foreign militants blocking the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk ended without results Sunday, a source told.
"Negotiations with Ukrainian forces at the Azot plant have been unsuccessful so far. They did not start coming out and surrendering, but the talks continue," the source said.
Foreign mercenaries that occupied the Azot chemical plant in Severodonetsk together with Aidar nationalist battalion, block the negotiations on voluntary surrender to LPR People’s Militia, a source told.
"They [foreign mercenaries] obstruct the negotiations process. So we wait," the source said.
On June 18, a source in LPR People’s Militia told TASS that Aidar militants, including commanders, surrendered to LPR forces in Metyolkino, near Severodonetsk. Later, this was confirmed by LPR envoy to the Russian Federation Rodion Miroshnik.
On Sunday, head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said in his Telegram channel that Chechen units and LPR People’s Militia finalize the cleanup of the settlement of Metyolkino.
