KHERSON, June 11. /TASS/. Retired residents of Kherson will receive their first pension payments in rubles at humanitarian centers in coming days, Vladimir Saldo, chief of the civil-military administration of the Kherson region, said on Saturday.

"Now a mechanism of how social payments will reach recipients [in Kherson] is being worked out. In the coming days there will be workers, volunteers at humanitarian centers, who will be making the first pension payment (in rubles - TASS) to all pensioners who will have showed their pensioner ID cards," Saldo said in footage published on the Telegram channel of the civil-military administration of the Kherson region.

The civil-military administration explained to TASS that pensions began to be paid in other regional settlements as early as in the spring. However, it was much more problematic to organize it in Kherson, which has a far larger population, so it takes more time to prepare for the payments. Kherson had about 350,000 inhabitants in peacetime. Some of them have temporarily left the city, but at least 250,000 people still remain there.
