Iran pledges to oppose unipolarity jointly with Russia, envoy says
The Iranian nation has resisted unipolar practices, American arrogance and exclusivity for 43 years now, Ambassador Kazem Jalali pointed out
MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. Iran and Russia are set to jointly oppose unipolar approaches in international relations, the Islamic Republic’s ambassador to Moscow said in an interview with the Rossiya-24 television channel on Friday.
"We, together with Russia, see almost eye to eye on many things, namely on a number of approaches and positions. Russia has been seeking multipolarity in its international relations, and we share this position," Ambassador Kazem Jalali noted.
Neither of the two countries would tolerate unipolarity, and both will strive to oppose it, he added.
"The Iranian nation has resisted unipolar practices, American arrogance and exclusivity for 43 years now," the diplomat stressed.
Jalali pledged cooperation in many spheres with an independent Russia, claiming that the Islamic Republic was sovereign and would never tag along under any foreign banners.
