Agency sources note that the Biden administration plans to inform the US Congress in the near future
MOSCOW, June 1. /TASS/. The Biden administration plans to sell four MQ-1C Gray Eagle reconnaissance and strike drones to Ukraine which may be armed with Hellfire missiles, Reuters reported on Wednesday citing three sources.
According to its sources, the Biden administration intends to inform the US Congress about the possible sale of the drones in the near future followed by a public announcement.
Some funds from the recently passed $40 billion Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative were set aside to finance both the possible sale and the training needed for the Ukrainian military to use the drones, the sources added.
That said, they noted that the sale may be blocked by the US Congress.
