Ukrainian official calls Kissinger ‘Davos panicker’ over comments on Ukraine
It's good that Ukrainians in the trenches do not have time for listening to ‘Davos panickers’, Mikhail Podolyak said
MOSCOW, May 24. /TASS/. Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, on Tuesday blasted former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger over his statements regarding ways to settle the conflict in Ukraine.
"As easily as Mr. Kissinger is proposing to give Russia part of Ukraine <…>, he would allow to take Poland or Lithuania away," Podolyak said on Twitter. "It's good that Ukrainians in the trenches do not have time for listening to ‘Davos panickers.’ They’re a little bit busy."
Kissinger earlier said at the World Economic Forum in Davos that the process of settlement in Ukraine should be started in the next two months in order to avoid more serious consequences for international relations in Europe. He said, "Ideally, the dividing line should be a return to the status quo ante."
Kissinger said a neutral status for Ukraine and its establishment as a bridge between Russia and Europe is the main goal, given the situation around the country at the moment.
