KIEV, May 24. /TASS/. Ukrainian prosecutor general Irina Venediktova said Russian serviceman Vadim Shishimarin, who has been sentenced to life in prison by a Ukrainian court, could be exchanged.

"You know, our scenarios for the development of events can be completely different," she said on Ukraina-24 television, when asked about the serviceman. "I say, as I said then, that he can be exchanged, a person can be exchanged after a court verdict. Yes, it's technically possible."

Venediktova did not disclose any further details. "I don't want to go into exchange processes, because this is already politics and diplomacy," she said. "I want to remain in my realm of competence as a prosecutor and talk about the objective things of criminal justice, so, I'm sorry, I won't go further."

The prosecutor general also said that the number of indicted Russian troops increased from 49 to 63. "Yesterday 49, today 63," she said. "Of the 63 suspects that we have, 10 are in the country."
