Ghebreyesus re-elected as WHO Director-General for second five-year term

The relevant resolution was voted on in a closed session of the 75th World Health Assembly
GENEVA, May 24. /TASS/. Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has been re-elected to serve a second five-year term, the 75th World Health Assembly (which is held on May 22-28) decided.
The relevant resolution was voted on in a closed session of the assembly. As the statement on the WHO website reports, "WHO Member States today [during the 75th World Health Assembly in Geneva] re-elected Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to serve a second five-year term as Director-General of the world’s leading public health agency."
Gebreyesus then took the oath of office.
