Washington earlier said that North Korea might be up for a new nuclear arms test in May

TOKYO, May 23. /TASS/. Japan, the US, and South Korea will be cooperating closely on the issue of North Korea’s nuclear program, said Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.

"We share grave concerns about Pyongyang’s policy and continued missile launches," the Japanese prime minister told a news conference following talks with US President Joe Biden. "Japan, the United States, and South Korea will maintain close cooperation on the issue."

Washington earlier said that North Korea might be up for a new nuclear arms test in May. And Director of South Korea’s National Intelligence Service, Park Jie-won, said on May 7 that Pyongyang was planning test launches between May 10 and May 20-22, the date of Biden’s visit to Seoul.
