Armenian PM meets with European Council president — Armenian government

According to earlier reports, Michel met with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev

YEREVAN, May 22. /TASS/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is currently on a working visit to Brussels, med with European Council President Charles Michel, the press service of the Armenian government said on Sunday.

"Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with European Council President Charles Michel in a tete-a-tete format to discuss the situation around Karabakh. The sides discussed humanitarian issues. Pashinyan stressed the importance of their resolution," it said.

Pashinyan and Michel exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached on December 14, 2021 and April 6, 2022 and expressed the hope that today’s trilateral talks with the participation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev would be fruitful and would promote stability and comprehensive settlement.

Apart from that, they discussed issue on the bilateral agenda, including the implementation of the 2.6-billion-euro EU investment and economic package for Armenia
