MOSCOW, May 19. /TASS/. Mortar fire from Ukraine was registered in the villages of Dronovka and Alekseyevka in the Glushkovsky District of the Kursk Region. As a result of the incident, there were no casualties and no damage, Governor Roman Starovoit said on Telegram.
"The village of Alekseyevka once again came under mortar fire, as well as the village of Dronovka, which is located just north of Alekseyevka," he said. "The enemy's aggression was suppressed by return fire. There were no casualties and no damage. Our military is in control of the situation."
The villages of Dronovka and Alekseyevka are located in the Glushkovsky District of the Kursk Region. Alekseyevka was repeatedly shelled by Ukraine in May, most recently on May 17 and 18. Also on May 17, the armed forces of Ukraine shelled the checkpoint in the village of Tyotkino and a sugar plant in the same area.
